As I sat here typing this, I let out a huge sigh! We did it! We actually bought a frickin' house. I am still in shock. I mean, I'm still in shock from finding out we are pregnant.....but now this?!?
I am so proud that we bought the perfect house for us. It's big, but cozy at the same time. A semi detached house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. There is plenty of room for all 3 of us. Currently we are living out of boxes for the most part. My husband has been working hard to get furniture set up so we can get comfortable. (Thank you hubs...& Ikea and Leon's!) More about those stores later.
Until the 30th of this month, we still have our little apartment. We are working to paint it back to its original boring beige colour. Cause heck yeah I want our $450 damage deposit back! Oh and did I mention cleaning? Yeah. Darn those dust bunnies got everywhere! Basically we are juggling our full-time jobs, plus my hubs has a part-time job on the side as well. Those plus DIY, unpacking and cleaning...oh yeah and we are a man down cause I'm all huge now and can't lift heavy things. It sucks cause I want to get in there and go crazy with nesting!
Speaking about nesting - back to the furniture. My husband and I ordered furniture from Ikea. We have a small budget and couldn't spend too much on essentials. So Ikea we went (online). We bought ourselves 2 closets, a giant dresser, 2 side tables and medium size dresser.
2 closets & giant dresser --> Master bedroom
2 side tables & medium dresser --> Guest room
We also love shopping at Leon's. We love their products, their staff are always friendly and they deliver, of course. Oh yeah and their prices aren't bad either. We ended up buying a dinning room table with 4 chairs and a bench also a large coffee table. In a future post I will have to show you photos of everything all set up pretty. {I just need to get my office set up and figure out where all the cables are for my camera...oh and make the house presentable so I can show the before and afters}.
So yeah, it is very busy over here in my world. Jobs, unpacking, cleaning, resting, eating (every 2 hours I swear!) DIY projects and doctors appointments....we have very little time for fun right now. My father-in-law is coming for a 2-3 week visit July 3rd. We are both very excited to have him stay with us. Hopefully he won't mind the fact that everything isn't perfect.
In the meanwhile....I'm breathing. Taking it 1 day at a time. Trying not to stress myself out too much. I did that a few days ago and got sick. Not fun. So, this is me, breathing. Doing only what I can and not what I think is expected of me.
