We all know that advertising companies are always trying to shock the consumer. The way I see it is, if the ad catches your eye causing you to think about it and question the product, then the advertising worked. Also any ad that grabs your attention and is the cause for discussion in turn served its purpose. Heck, it worked for the company in the image below- I'm writing about it on my blog!
Heres the story: While on my honeymoon in San Francisco, CA- I got to experience that "What the heck?" thought process after seeing a billboard advertising a certain product. Although it made me feel a little sick in the stomach and made me say out loud "eww!"- the ad worked. I'm spreading the concept to you and perhaps you will love it and go out of buy their product- if you do then the ad worked. You'll understand what I mean after seeing the picture below..... (I'm still laughing out loud) This image is hilarious!
If wearing those jeans causes men to come up and bite my behind then they are definitely not the jeans for me! LOL. "You'll eat better" - What does that even mean?? The advertising world continues to baffle me.
There's a saying about advertising which goes ..."marketing without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark, only you know what you are doing" So true... ain't it? That's the art of ads see you are already promoting it through your blog.
